Postcard Lešetín blacksmith 1901, small format, Austria-Hungary
An old postcard from the Austro-Hungarian period, sent from the village of Němčice in 1901. The front side depicts an illustrated scene from a folk environment: a blacksmith at work in a forge and a woman in a traditional interior, probably inspired by the poem Lešetínský kövář by Svatopluk Čech, an excerpt of which is given below. The postcard is richly described with handwritten text in Czech, including the front side. The back side is addressed, provided with a 5 heller stamp and postmarks from September 2, 1901. Very good collector's condition with unique content and small format.
The text description is for guidance only and may not always be 100% accurate - what you see in the photos is what matters.
