Písek 1898 – old colored postcard, stone bridge, town hall, monument
Old postcard from the town of Písek, dated 1898, sent with a period stamp. On the front side there are colored illustrations of important places in Písek – the panorama of the town, the town hall, the monument to Emperor Franz Joseph I, the Small Square and the stone bridge (Steinbrücke). The postcard is richly decorated with floral motifs and the inscription "Gruss aus Písek". The back side shows the address, the postmark Písek and the 2 kreuzer Austria stamp. A nice collector's item in original preserved condition, authentic traces of age. Suitable for collectors of historical postcards from Bohemia or regional postcards from Písek.
