Postcard Memorial of the Ostrava Operation in Hrabyně, 1984

Postcard depicting the Ostrava Operation Memorial in Hrabyně. On the front side there are four photographs depicting the main objects of the memorial – the hall of liberators, the symbolic cemetery, the memorial fireplace and a memorial plaque with inscriptions. The memorial is dedicated to the soldiers of the 4th Ukrainian Front who fell for the liberation of Czechoslovakia. On the back of the postcard there is a short description of the memorial in Czech and Russian, a handwritten greeting and the addressee. Issued in the former Czechoslovakia. Signs of normal wear, corners slightly bent, original postmark from 1984. A very interesting historical view of a significant monument and a reminder of the liberators.
