Nymburk – U Elišky house, Přemyslid relief, 1951, small format

An older black and white postcard depicts the corner of the U Elišky house on 2. května Street in Nymburk. The dominant feature of the view is a large relief by sculptor Novák, depicting the welcoming of the last Přemyslid dynasty, who found refuge in Nymburk in 1310 from persecution by Henry of Carinthia. The postcard shows shops on the ground floor - delicatessen, meat-sausages, fish-poultry and fruit-vegetables. The back of the postcard is hand-written, it also contains a postage stamp from the Czechoslovakian period with a value of 30 and a postmark from 1951. The postcard is intended for collectors of historical postcards from the cities and architecture of the Czech Republic. Format until 1950.
