Original old postcard with a painted rural landscape motif. The scene shows several traditional thatched-roof houses spread out in a rugged landscape with a body of water in the foreground and a dramatic sunset sky. The drawing is by S. Wencke, Worpwede, as noted in the lower right corner. The back is mint, with minor soiling and wear to the corners consistent with age. The postcard has dimensions typical of the early 20th century.
