Prague – Hradčany from the National Theatre, colored postcard, 1899

Original old postcard with a view of Prague - Hradčany from the National Theatre. On the front side there is a beautifully coloured shot of Charles Bridge with statues and the panorama of Prague Castle in the background. The postcard was sent and is provided with postmarks (Prague 1, 1899), a handwritten message and the recipient's address to Dobřin near Hradec Králové. The condition reflects its age - slight wear on the edges, the colours are still distinct, very attractive for collectors of historical postcards of Prague. Small format, period up to 1950.
