The postcard depicts a demonstration at Prague Castle on May 6, 1970, on the occasion of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Soviet Union. The picture shows a crowd of people with flags and banners, and the building is inscribed With the Soviet Union Forever and Never Again. On the balcony are state officials of the time. This is a period black-and-white postcard that witnesses significant political events during the period of normalization in Czechoslovakia. The postcard is unmarked and in very good condition.
