Prague, Wenceslas Square – historical postcard, small format
An old black and white postcard depicting Wenceslas Square in Prague in the first half of the 20th century. The postcard beautifully depicts historical city transport, trams, horse-drawn carriages and the hustle and bustle of the then center of Prague. The dominant feature is the statue of St. Wenceslas, the iconic patron saint of the Czech land. On the back is a handwritten dedication, a stamp and a period stamp of the Czechoslovak Republic worth 50 haller. The postcard is smaller in size and bears signs of age and use, which gives it collector's value and authenticity. A great example of the Prague atmosphere and historical monuments suitable for collector's purposes.
