Postcard Prague, Hradčany – Marian Column, sent 1945

Original black and white postcard from the period before 1950 depicting the Marian Column and the surroundings on Hradčany Square in Prague. The postcard shows a detail of the sculptural group and the panorama of Prague Castle in the background. The postcard was sent in 1945, as evidenced by the stamp with the date 16. V. 45 and the stamp with the overprint Postal Office of the President of the Republic Liberated Area. On the back there is a handwritten text addressed to Miss Anna Výborná in Prague. The condition of the postcard corresponds to its age, the edges are slightly frayed, the photograph is well preserved, the text is legible.
