Postcard Jan Neruda – God's Warriors, 1909, portrait, sent

Original old postcard with a portrait of the prominent Czech writer Jan Neruda, published in the Boží bojovníci edition (Benedikt Fuhr in Prague). The postcard was sent on February 10, 1909 from Podhradí, which makes it an interesting historical document. On the front side you will find a picture of Jan Neruda and a brief biography in Czech, including a list of his main works. On the back side there is a handwritten text, addressee and postmarks including a stamp (removed). The postcard shows signs of age, the corners are slightly scuffed, there are light stains and abrasions in places, everything corresponds to an age of more than 110 years. A great collector's item for those interested in Czech literature, history or postcards with portraits of personalities.
