Postcard of a folklore performance in Kyiv 1965 – Ukrainian costumes
A colorful postcard depicting a folklore performance in Kiev from February 20, 1965. The photo shows a group of singers and performers in traditional Ukrainian folk costumes standing on stage in front of the audience. The distinctive folk motifs on the clothes and accessories are an example of the ethnographic traditions of the Transcarpathian region. The scenery is in the style of folk architecture with typical ornamentation. An inscription in Ukrainian on the stage welcomes the participants of the artistic independence of Transcarpathia. The postcard has a handwritten description on the back with the date and place of the event. A great collectible example of Ukrainian folklore culture of the 1960s.
