Jeseník - moated castle and parish church, used by post
Original postcard from Jeseník depicting a moated castle and a parish church. It is one of the oldest monuments of the town of Jeseník, with the bishop's castle appearing since the 13th century and the church first mentioned in 1318. Both buildings were renovated several times, especially after the great fire of the town in 1737. The postcard uses a period stamp Czechoslovakia from 1964 for the 150th anniversary of the Silesian Museum in Opava. The postcard is described and has been mailed. Suitable for a collection of historical postcards focusing on Czech castles and architecture.
