Ethnography postcard - Traditional costumes of Bohemia and Moravia, 1939
This old postcard depicts a scene with people in traditional costumes, typical of Czech ethnography. The picture shows a man with a child in his arms, standing in front of a house, while in the background there is another female figure. The postcard is stamped with stamps from the period of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia and is addressed to Pilsen. On the back there is a handwritten message with wishes for happiness in the new year, dated 1939. Not only the historical, but also the ethnographic value of this collector's item is significant, as it captures traditional folk customs and clothing from the past. The postcard is in fair condition with signs of wear, which is typical for its age.
