Ancient ethnographic Easter postcard with a woman and a lamb from Austria-Hungary
This old black and white postcard depicts a young woman in traditional costume holding Easter decorations and a basket full of eggs, accompanied by a lamb. In the background, a church and a typical rural landscape can be seen. The postcard is inscribed with the words Fröhliche Ostern! (Happy Easter). On the reverse of the postcard is an old postmark and a handwritten message. The postcard dates from the Austro-Hungarian period, as evidenced by the 5 heller stamp. A very interesting historical artifact for collectors of postcards, ethnography and Easter motifs.
