Soviet postcard March 8, International Women's Day, circa 1960

This postcard dates from around 1960 and is dedicated to International Women's Day on March 8. The front side shows a symbolic blue ribbon wrapping a bouquet of yellow flowers, accompanied by the inscription in Russian С 8 марта, дорогая! (To March 8, dear!). On the back is a handwritten dedication to the birthday girl, written in blue pen, with greetings and wishes for all the best in life and work. This postcard is a typical example of Soviet graphics and culture of celebrating International Women's Day, probably published in the Ukrainian SSR, which is evidenced by the use of Cyrillic and the documentation by a state publishing house. The postcard is suitable for collectors specializing in ethnography, the Soviet era and the theme of women's holidays in Eastern Europe. The condition of the postcard is well preserved with visible handwriting and original colors.
