Postcard Ležáky – memorial, 1988, sent
Original postcard with the motif of the Ležáky memorial, a place exterminated by the Nazis during World War II. The postcard depicts the memorial with the outlines of the original houses, monuments and places of worship. On the back is a printed historical description of the event that took place here on June 24, 1942, when the settlement and its 54 inhabitants were burned by the Nazis. The postcard has a postmark and a stamp from 1988. This is an attractive collector's item for lovers of history and Czechoslovak monuments. See the photo for condition.
