Zlín - Baťa Department Store, small format, circa 1940

Original postcard with the motif of the Baťa department store in Zlín. On the front side there is a black and white photograph of a modern functionalist building, which very well illustrates the construction boom of Zlín in the 1930s under the leadership of the Baťa company. In the background there is a panorama of the surrounding landscape with hills and orchards, typical of this area. The postcard was sent and contains an original Czechoslovak stamp and a handwritten message dated around 1940 (the exact dating can be specified according to the stamp and text). A very interesting collector's item for lovers of the history of Zlín, the Baťa brand or the architecture of the First Republic.
