Original postcard of the town of Sušice, known as the City of Matches, which is the gateway to the most beautiful part of Šumava. The postcard depicts important landmarks of the town and its surroundings, including the historic square, industrial buildings and the beautiful landscape around the Otava River. On the back is a brief description of the town and its famous tradition of matchmaking, which began here in 1838. Published by Orbis Praha, printing house OTK 41 Hradišťsko pod Medem. A great collector's item and a reminder of the unique history of the Czech border region.
