Tábor – Žižek Monument, Hotel Beseda, small format, 1953

Original old postcard from the first half of the 20th century. The black and white photograph shows the Žižka monument on the square in Tábor. The statue of Jan Žižka dominates the foreground, with historical buildings in the background, including the Beseda Hotel. The other side is postally used, with a 1953 postmark and a stamp with a portrait of President Edvard Beneš. The postcard is in good collector's condition, with a patina of time and legible handwriting of the addressee and sender. A very nice document of the history and atmosphere of the city of Tábor, ideal for a collection of postcards with a Czech theme.
