Easter postcard – Shepherd with sheep, ethnographic motif, Jožka Baruch

Easter postcard with an ethnographic motif of a shepherd in folk costume playing the flute against a background of a landscape with a grazing flock of sheep and a dog. In the background, mountains and a medieval castle can be seen, which evokes the atmosphere of a traditional countryside. Color print based on the original by academic painter Jožka Baruch. On the back, a handwritten Easter message and address, used by post. The postcard was probably issued in the first half of the 20th century, has minor signs of wear consistent with its age (frayed corners, stains). A beautiful example of folk art and traditions. Ideal for collectors of ethnographic postcards or lovers of old folk customs and Easter.
