Easter postcard – folk tradition, costumes, ethnography, 1910s
Older Easter postcard with an ethnographic motif - a sample of rural life. On the front of the postcard is a colored picture of two women in traditional costumes decorating eggs for Easter in a typical village interior. At the bottom is the inscription Happy Easter! . This is an artistic postcard published by the FJ Jedlička publishing house in Prague, based on the original by painter J. Koudelka, Series 503-1. The back is printed, with an original stamp (Austria-Hungary, 5 hellers), a handwritten message and address. The postcard was sent, has a patina of age, minor signs of wear, suitable for a collection or as a sample of folk customs and traditions.
