Old postcard - Czech village square, J. Strnad, 1937
Original historical postcard from the first half of the 20th century with a motif of a Czech village square, captured by the painter J. Strnad. The postcard has a fresh painted motif of typical rural cottages with a thatched roof and a statue on the square, a beautifully colored summer landscape. The back is described, addressed to Miss Blánová in Benešov u Prahy and has a stamp with a postmark from 1937 (Leitmeritz/Litoměřice). The postcard is in decent collector's condition, with slight traces of age on the edges. A great addition to a collection of historical Czech postcards and a document of period postal communication.
