Catalog number: M1182
Christmas postcard with girls in traditional costumes, Czechoslovakia, until 1950
An old Christmas postcard from the first half of the 20th century, sent with a postage stamp and an interesting handwritten text. On the front side there is a color illustration of two girls in folk costumes, probably designed by the academic painter V. Oliva. The girls stand in front of a snowy cottage and represent a winter holiday atmosphere. On the back side is printed Merry Christmas! and the address page is filled in, including an original postage stamp from the time of Czechoslovakia. Ideal for collectors of historical Czech postcards, thematically focused on winter and traditional folk motifs. The postcard bears signs of age and wear, corresponding to its age.
The text description is for guidance only and may not always be 100% accurate - what you see in the photos is what matters.
