Old postcard of the Czechoslovak Republic - Happy New Year, winter motif, skier, TGM stamp

Original old Czechoslovak postcard in the Christmas and New Year spirit. The postcard bears a handwritten text, a 50-haller postage stamp with a portrait of TG Masaryk and a postmark. On the front side there is a picturesque winter motif with a skier in old-fashioned clothing and the inscription Happy New Year!. The author of the illustration is K. Štapfer. The postcard was issued for the benefit of children's sanatoriums in Slovakia by the organization Mother and Child Protection, Prague-Karlín. This is an attractive collector's item illustrating the atmosphere of the first half of the 20th century.
