Czechoslovak Christmas postcard 1951, drawing by C. Kotyšan, stamp Gottwald
Original Christmas postcard from Czechoslovakia, sent in 1951. On the front side there is a color drawing by C. Kotyšan depicting a family by a Christmas tree with the inscription Merry Christmas and a successful new year. The back side contains a handwritten message and an original stamp with a portrait of President Klement Gottwald worth 1.50 CZK. The postcard was addressed to Mrs. Anna Česalová in the village of Příkazy u Mirošova. The overall condition is consistent with its age, the postcard is slightly worn, with a visible fold in the middle. A great collector's item documenting the Christmas atmosphere and postal history of post-war Czechoslovakia.
