Prague 1945 – Postcard, destroyed house near the National Museum, May Uprising

A historical postcard depicting a view from the ramp of the National Museum in Prague of a house destroyed by a German air bomb during the revolutionary battles of May 5–9, 1945. A statue is visible on the front of the postcard, and in the background, the ruins after the bombing, with a group of civilians standing on the street observing the aftermath of the attack. The postcard dates from the post-war years and was issued by A. Wanner after his return from the Flossenbürg concentration camp. An original historical photograph. It bears signs of age and use, suitable for collectors and those interested in the history of Prague or the period of World War II.
