Easter postcard – colored drawing by Jar. Jareš, 1951, Czech Village
Easter postcard with a colorful drawing of a Czech village and characters by a stream. On the front side is a beautifully illustrated scene by artist Jaroslav Jareš – a girl and a boy are standing by a bridge over a stream, in the background are houses with sloping roofs, weeping spring trees and a typical landscape of a small Czech countryside. On the back side is a wish for a Happy Easter and a handwritten message, including the address. The postcard has been mailed, is provided with a stamp with a portrait and a legible postmark (25.III.51), which proves its age and authenticity. The colored drawing creates a pleasant atmosphere of spring holidays and Czech traditions. Well-preserved condition, suitable for collectors of historical postcards or lovers of cartoon Easter motifs.
