Prague Old Town Bridge Tower - commemorative postcard 1921

A historical postcard issued for the 300th anniversary of the execution of the Czech lords on Old Town Square in Prague, dated 21. 6. 1921. The front side depicts the Bridge Tower after the Old Town Execution based on a contemporary depiction. The back side contains text about the placement of the heads of the executed, which the executioner fixed in special cages so that they were always visible to the people of Prague; the text describes that the six heads were directed towards different cardinal points and the bridges of the Old Town. Published by the editorial office of the magazine Čechy a Řím in Prague-Karlín. The postcard is in decent collector's condition with light signs of age and a color stain in the corner of the back side. A unique commemorative print for lovers of history and Prague realities.
