Gottwaldov, SVIT – 17-storey building, night view, 1957

Historical postcard from the Czechoslovakian period, depicting a night view of the 17-storey building of the Svit National Park in the then Gottwaldov (today's Zlín). The building is a landmark of the city and is effectively illuminated in a period black and white photograph. The back of the postcard has a stamp (Czechoslovakia, 30h, Prague Spring 1955) and an original postmark from 1957. The postcard is hand-written by the addressee and shows signs of normal wear. A suitable collector's item for those interested in Czechoslovak architecture, the history of the city of Zlín or postal history.
