Christmas postcard by V. Boukal, Czech village, children, winter, until 1950

An old Christmas postcard with a motif of a winter village scene, where children build a snowman and ride a sleigh in front of snowy cottages. The painted motif by V. Boukal is beautifully colored, on the back of the postcard there is a Czech New Year inscription Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and space for a handwritten message. The postcard was sent and is marked with a stamp from the Czechoslovakian period. The format is smaller than a standard postcard today, typical age up to 1950. A beautiful piece for collectors, especially of Czech historical and painted postcards with a Christmas theme.
