Postcard Colonel Josef Jiří Švec, legionnaire, 1934, postmark and stamp
Historical postcard with a portrait of Colonel Josef Jiří Švec, a prominent Czechoslovak legionnaire, who was born on July 19, 1883 in Čenkov near Třeště in Moravia. The postcard was issued for the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Czechoslovak Army (with the appropriate postmark and stamp from 1934 – Prague 10 Hrad). Published by the publishing house Dr. Eliška Weiglová, Prague. The postcard is in very good condition and is an interesting collector's item not only for collectors of legionnaire themes and prominent figures in Czech history. On the back there is an authentic postage stamp and a stamp with the date 28. IX. 34. An excellent addition to a collection of historical postcards or legionnaire materials.
