Postcard Pride – portrait of Jirásek, Hussite motif, Czech history
Original old postcard with a portrait of a prominent Czech personality (probably Alois Jirásek), who is sitting at a table with books and papers. In the background is a painting with a holy chalice and figures symbolizing the Hussite tradition and Czech history. On the back is a Czech text: From the spark of Koštuická in the heart of faithful Czechs, the heat flared up and master Jirásek explained it to us. The postcard is in good collector's condition, slight signs of wear on the edges. Published by A. Řehák, Žižkov. Signed Chlouba pinx. Size classic small format. A great addition to a collection of postcards focused on Czech personalities, writers or painting.
The text description is for guidance only and may not always be 100% accurate - what you see in the photos is what matters.
