Postcard Josef Kajetán Tyl – bust, old, collectible

Original old postcard depicting a bust of Josef Kajetán Tyl (1808–1856), a prominent Czech playwright, writer and patriotic revivalist. On the front of the postcard is a photograph of the bust, the author of which is the academic sculptor Antonín Máry, professor at the State School of Sculpture in Hořice. On the back is marked: Published by the Tyl amateur community in Prague and Printed by Max Forejt, Vysočany. The postcard bears typical signs of age (slightly worn corners, yellowing, small stains), a historically valuable collector's item suitable for thematic collections of Czech culture and personalities of the 19th century.
