Joža Uprka - Tying a Scarf (Bride from Hroznová Lhota) ethnographic postcard

Original old postcard from the Austro-Hungarian period, on the front of which there is a beautiful color illustration by the painter Jože Uprka titled Tying a Scarf (Bride from Hroznová Lhota, series III. no. 5). The postcard depicts the traditional costume and wedding makeup of a young woman according to folk customs from South Moravia. The back is described, with period stamps and postmarks, addressed to Vienna. A great collector's item documenting folk traditions and the artistic work of a famous Czech painter. Very good condition with minor signs of age. Classic postcard format.
