Joža Uprka – The Bride from Hroznová Lhota (ethnographic postcard, 1941)
A rare colored postcard by the famous Czech painter Jože Uprka with the motif of a bride from Hroznová Lhota in a traditional costume, the so-called zapentlená. The postcard was sent in 1941, as evidenced by the original Böhmen und Mähren postage stamp and Kroměříž postmark. The front side depicts a detailed folk costume with distinctive floral embroidery and a ceremonial headdress. The back side contains a handwritten text and address, intended for collectors of postcards with ethnographic and historical themes. The overall condition of the postcard corresponds to its age, with minor signs of wear on the edges. A very attractive artifact for lovers of Czech traditions and history.
The text description is for guidance only and may not always be 100% accurate - what you see in the photos is what matters.
