Postcard 1908 – painting, women with lyre, Austria-Hungary
Historical postcard with a scene from ancient times, depicting two women in long robes, sitting on a stone bench in a romantic garden at sunset. One of the women is playing the lyre, the other is listening. The back is described, with an Austro-Hungarian stamp (5 heller) and a postmark from 1908. The text on the postcard is handwritten in German, apparently private correspondence. Published by J. Pichna, Prague. Overall condition is good, corresponding to the age of the postcard. A beautiful example of artistic processing and a collector's item suitable for a collection of postcards with a painting motif. kuk Millitar Zens Feldpost
