Mariánská Týnice - a historical postcard of a pilgrimage site

This historical postcard depicts the pilgrimage site of Mariánská Týnice, one of the most important Baroque sacral complexes in Bohemia. The front side depicts the image of the pilgrimage church in Mariánská Týnice and the figure of the Virgin Mary with a child, surrounded by angels, accompanied by the inscription AUGENKEM MARIAN TÝNOSTI . The postcard can be dated to the first half of the 20th century, which is also evidenced by the postmark and stamp from the Czechoslovakian period. The back side contains handwritten text in German and the addressee's address in Krumlov. The postcard is in good condition considering its age, with minor traces of wear. An excellent collector's item for those interested in Czech historical and sacral monuments, or lovers of old postcards. An ideal addition to a collection of postcards from areas with important monuments and pilgrimage sites in the Czech Republic.

The text description is for guidance only and may not always be 100% accurate - what you see in the photos is what matters.
