Catalog number: M3891
Postcard No. SPD steamer on the Danube, 1947, postally used
Old postcard depicting a steamer with the inscription Č.SPD moored at the Danube embankment, with a striking backdrop of a bridge and urban architecture in the background (probably Budapest). The front side is in black and white. On the back side there is a handwritten message, a Czechoslovakia postage stamp and a postmark from 1947. The postcard bears signs of age - slightly rounded corners, spots and patina, see scan. A collectible and historically interesting piece from the post-war Czechoslovakia, suitable for postcard collectors focused on ship and river transport or historical corners of cities.
