Christmas postcard by Josef Lada – village slaughter, 1935
Christmas postcard with a traditional rural slaughterhouse based on a drawing by the famous Czech painter Josef Lada from 1935. The postcard is printed in color, on the front we see an idyllic winter scene with figures of people during the ancient ritual of a village slaughterhouse, typical of Czech tradition. On the back there is the print Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, a personal handwritten dedication and a postage stamp with a postmark. The postcard was published by the Severografia Děčín printing house. Ideal for collectors of Lada motifs, Czech and Christmas postcards or lovers of Czech traditions and painting.
